Streambox: Gas Chromatography Sampling Automation & Multiplexing
Expand your GC analysis capacity by automating up to 46 sample streams with zero container limitations.
Unlimited Automated Sampling for Your GC
Designed and manufactured in-house by Chemlys, the Streambox® heated valve enclosure Streambox adds extra injection and selection valves to your gas chromatograph. It enables seamless, automated analytical sequences from diverse sample containers (sampling bags, high-pressure cylinders, canisters) while protecting the integrity of your complex gas matrices.
Streambox: Multiply Your Analytical Capabilities
Standard Solution: Plug-and-Play GC Integration (Up to 16 Streams)
The Streambox is a high-performance gas stream selector designed to automate sampling for any gas analyzer (GC, Micro-GC, Mass Spectrometer, or gas sensors). By centralizing your sampling points, it eliminates manual handling and ensures continuous, repeatable monitoring of your processes or laboratory experiments.
Designed to work seamlessly with any analyzer manufacturer, providing a truly universal sampling interface.
-
Direct Control: Native, synchronized operation directly through the GC software interface (e.g., Shimadzu).
-
Scalable Multiplexing: Connect up to 16 samples in its baseline configuration.
-
Flexible Sample Introduction: Sequential analysis of Tedlar® bags, pressurized cylinders, canisters, or vials without modifying system architecture.
Extended Solution: Embedded PLC for Process Projects (Up to 46 Streams)
Following the Chemlys philosophy, the Streambox features an autonomous, embedded controller. You no longer need to worry about dedicated workstations or complex software installations. Scalable Architecture: Available in configurations ranging from 4 to 32 streams to adapt to your growing needs.
-
Maximized Capacity: Handle up to 30 sample streams on standard GC models and up to 46 streams on Micro GC systems.
-
Advanced Conditioning: Custom automation for sample conditioning (purging sequences, pressure regulation, complex logic).
-
System Independence: Autonomous operation via a dedicated industrial PLC, ideal for online process integration and analytical shelters/cabinets.
As a proprietary solution engineered and manufactured by CHEMLYS, Streambox overcomes the physical and chemical constraints associated with challenging gas sampling:
-
Maximum Chemical Inertness (SilcoNert® 2000 Option): Specialized surface treatment to prevent surface adsorption of highly reactive molecules (H2S, mercaptans, NH3).
-
Cold-Spot-Free Thermal Transfer: Self-regulated heating at 80 °C or 140 °C paired with a heated transfer line directly coupled to the GC injector, securing semi-volatile compound transfer.
-
Hydrogen & Flammables Safety: Enclosure purge feature using inert gas sweep to eliminate combustible gas accumulation in case of leaks.
-
Gas Sampling Bag Autosampler Version: Integrated micro-sampling pump and rotameter to guarantee highly repeatable sampling at atmospheric pressure.
-
Ergonomic Design & Maintenance: Flexible lateral positioning (left or right side of the GC) and front-access valves under the hood for fast, simple servicing.
The Chemlys Advantage: Engineering & Reliability
Bespoke Sampling Solutions: We design products that evolve with your specific analytical needs, not the other way around.
Hydrogen-Ready Safety: Work with total peace of mind. The Streambox features an inert gas purging system to prevent gas buildup in the event of a leak—a critical safety feature for laboratories transitioning to Hydrogen carrier gas.
Simplified Maintenance: Minimize downtime with our front-access architecture. Valves and critical components are positioned directly under the hood for immediate accessibility and rapid servicing.
A versatile tool with multiple applications, designed to meet your evolving sampling needs.

Frequently asked questions about our STREAMBOX:
Is Streambox® compatible with GC systems other than Shimadzu?
Yes. While the standard 16-stream version offers native drive via Shimadzu GC software, the embedded PLC version allows Streambox to interface autonomously with any GC or Micro GC manufacturer.
How does Streambox handle gas sampling bags at atmospheric pressure?
Dans sa configuration « Passeur de sacs », Streambox intègre une pompe d’échantillonnage dédiée et un rotamètre pour aspirer le gaz de manière répétable, sans altérer la matrice ni nécessiter de surpression préalable.
Can Streambox handle corrosive or reactive sulfur compounds?
Absolutely. With the optional passivation treatment applied to the full fluid path (valves, fittings, tubing), SilcoNert® 2000, reactive compounds such as (H2S, NH3, chlorinated) are transferred without adsorption losses or matrix degradation.
