SilcoNert® coating

Optimize your sample path

The Ultimate Inert Coating for Improving Gas Analysis

Coat critical instrument flow path components to improve test quality, eliminate sample contamination, and prevent adsorption.

SilcoNert 2000 is the flagship CVD coating trusted by chromatographers and process engineers across the globe to get the most accurate results instantly, eliminating time-consuming workarounds like priming or passivation.

These amorphous silicon (a-Si) coatings feature specialized functionalization to ensure maximum chemical passivity. They are essential for trace-level analysis in applications such as refinery gas or pesticide monitoring, where active sites on raw metal surfaces would typically cause sample adsorption or degradation, compromising the reliability of your results.

SilcoNert coatings, also known by the tradenames Sulfinert®, Siltek®, and Silcosteel®, are the industry standard for creating a chemically inert flow path in laboratory and process instrumentation. Commonly coated parts:

Glass (inlet liners)
Stainless steel (injection ports, FID jets, tubing)
Ceramics
Steel alloy
  • Dursan: corrosion resistance (H2S, acids, bases)
  • Silcolloy : oxidation resistance adapted to very high temperatures (up to 1000°C)
  • Silcoguard : minimizes degassing and improves productivity in the vacuum
  • Silcoklean : reduce carbon accumulation on combustion-related components
  • Dursox : decrease in contamination for semiconductor manufacturers.
